10,000 Reasons

I love worship music.  Old classics to new, contemporary tunes.  Anything!

Its all… well.  Its all music to my ears.

This song resonates with me so profoundly right now.

This song does something to me.  I have never been one to raise up my hands in church, never been able to just fall on my knees in devoted prayer.

But this song changes me… I just want to turn everything over to Him!  My time, my attention, my heart!

It reminds me how much I want to Serve the King!

Yes – this song is amazing. It is contemporary but has an “old soul” feel to me too. Love it.

    • Amanda says:

  • Christy says:

I hadn’t heard this song before, this is so beautiful. I am a hands lifter up kind of girl (although I didn’t used to be), but this is one of those songs where I just put my hand on my heart, close my eyes, and worship our Lord and let go completely and let the Lord take control.

Thanks for sharing this, so beautiful

    • Amanda says:

Hey my famous i am baker wonderful friend!!! Love seeing your site just grow and grow!
GUESS WHAT!?! When Matt Redmann recorded that entire CD last February in Atlanta, Georgia…guess who was there singing right along?!?! That’s right…ME!!!! Can you totally hear me? Yes? Knew it. 🙂
If you watch his youtube of it where he’s speaking–you can even see me, my prego belly and my hunky husband in the background!!! We were at a worship leader’s conference and one of the coolest perks was getting to be a part of this live recording! Then, I had to sit on all the awesome music we had just learned until the CD was released! Love this song! Pretty sure we’ll get to sing it all together in heaven someday!!!

    • Amanda says:

SHUT UP!!! That is the coolest thing EVER!!! So going to watch the video again and look for you!!!!!

      • Londa says:

Because I know you have nothing better to do…here’s the link: http://youtu.be/8yPzETBreaU
It’s Matt Redman giving the background to the song. We’re 25 seconds in…just to the right and up a little from his hand… I’m a geek…I own it! 😉
        Have a WONDERFUL weekend!!!

        • Amanda says:

Its powerful just watching it!!! I bet it was just magical and amazing being there. SOOOOO cool!

  • Suzie says:

Oh my goodness! Just yesterday I was listening to this, and was wondering if it was some old hymn I had missed along the way somewhere! I randomly found it on iTunes and it has become one of my favorites. I like Cassie’s description of it having an ‘old soul’ feel to it – it absolutely does.

  • Gianna says:

I just heard this song yesterday.
    I LOVE It!
    I miss seeing you occassionally!
Your children are huge and just as adorable as ever!

  • Marcella says:

    Love this song too!
It has a great feel to it!

  • Chrissy says:

This is so great! Although I love various types of music, I daily find myself turning to Christian music and worship music. My soul longs for it. I often have most of my chats with God while listening to worship music. I’ve found that’s how my Father speaks to me; He knows I am a really good listener then.

I have never been one to raise my hands while in worship or fall to my knees, as you can relate to, until I started going to an AWESOME Church called C3 in San Diego, CA. It is a branch of Hillsong, from New Zealand/Australia and ever since then, I have found my self really connecting with God during worship, hands raised and all!

Thanks for being so awesome and sharing this song!

  • Cecelia says:

Touched my heart and soul!! Thanks so much. I’ll listen to every morning!!!

  • Grace says:

LOVE that song too!! Hillsong just came out with a new CD today!! They are many amazing encouraging songs on the CD!

I think it is so beautiful that you included this section of your blog. So many people are scared to be open about their faith today, for fear of offending someone or not being politically correct. Thank you for having the courage to share yours. 🙂

I have absolutely fallen in love with your pages. Even when my kids roll their eyes because I made every button on my car radio programmed to be either worship music or Christian talk radio, I just smile and say a sweet thank you prayer to Jesus that I have that opportunity. Blessings.

    Amen, amen, and amen!
