5 Minutes for Mom

filed under: Miscellaneous on July 25, 2008

This is the first time I have ever typed anything like this, so please, please bear with my fumbling and inability to find the right words to express my gratitude.

I often visit the 5 Minutes for Mom site and check in with other blogging mommies and find great promotions and read really great short stories and articles.

Mom Blogs

Today, I am actually…I still can’t belive this…but today I am a featured writer on their site!

I am so often inspired by the many amazing moms who write at 5 Minutes for Mom and for Faith Lifts and Karen over at Surviving Motherhood who is a great author and many, many more of you amazing mommies/wives/faithful servants/writers. Now I can acutally say that I too, am a writer.  (of sorts)

Ok, ok, I won’t let it go to my head. I know that any ‘reward’ I get for my efforts is all thanks to HIM, and that all the praise should go right to Him!

Thank you Jesus.

So, please stop by and check out my submission today. Leave a comment. Let me know what you think. I am still so humbled by the whole experience, part of me really feels like this is a dream.

Please don’t wake me up! Ha!

Many blessings-

Amanda

Amanda, I can’t tell you how much your feature in 5 Minutes For Mom blessed me. I just became a blogger this week and I am overwhelmed at the amount of encouragement I have received from mom blogs. I truly believe that God led me to the “Blog World” this week for a reason. I believe He knew that I needed to read and connect with other Christian Mom Bloggers such as yourself. My life changed 9 months ago when I had my daughter. She is truly the joy of me and husband’s life. But I’m often worn out by the end of the day and am feeling guilty about spending less and less time with God. Thanks for your Blog. I have been encouraged and am looking forward to reading more of your writings. God Bless!

    Amanda,
I saw your post on 5 Minutes for Mom and just wanted you to know I was really blessed by it. I didn’t realize how isolated I was feeling as a new mommy and Christian until I read that… it inspires me to keep my mind on things above. I’m kind of overwhelmed with the idea of being a mom – a good mom – but I love my baby (almost three months) so much already. I really want to glorify God with my life… I think you are with yours through this blog! ๐Ÿ™‚
By the way, I loved “The Grace Awakening” too, and that example is amazing.
    Thanks,
    Lindsey

Hi, I stumbled accross your blog from 5 minutes for mom, and I have to say I am so glad I found it!! I will be reading your blog, as it seems to be such a blessing to hear of a christian mom raising her kid in such an unchristian world. Thank you!!

That was so good, Amanda. I am really proud of you! You captured exactly how it feels to have a 3 year old. You handled it so much better than I ever could. I just discovered what I can learn from you. Grace in dealing with my teenagers. I lose control and say things out of anger far too often. Thank you for this…I loved it.

Congratulations! That is wonderful and I will have to check it out. Wishing you a very blessed weekend. Hugs, Janie
