Baking Mommy

filed under: Miscellaneous on June 7, 2010

I have some really exciting news to share with you.

For some insane reason, I thought it would be a good idea to start another blog.  Well.  Kinda.  Its not a blog so much as a LiveJournal community.  Have you seen them?

My new community is called Baking Mommy.  (When you get there the main page says amanda bakes)

It is a happy combination of my two blogs… with the highlight being on baking.

I cant wait to tell you how this LiveJournal blog is different from my regular old blogs.

First,
since it is through LiveJournal, hundreds of thousands of people read
them.  You are reading that correctly… hundreds of thousands!!  Isnt
that crazy?  That community is HUGE!

Secondly, this Baking Mommy community is not just for me… its for everyone

YOU can post in it too!!

Not
only can you post in my community, but you can get all of the traffic
that LiveJournal's community offers as well.  Talk about exposure!
Even folks that are not signed up to be a members are able to view the
full posting in the community… meaning that you can get lots of
comments and new visitors to your main blog if you chose to link back
to yourself.

All you do is sign up to "join this community" which
is totally free and painless, then start submitting your pictures,
recipes, crafts, or cooking ventures.  (I kinda want to do mostly
cooking and baking, but if a fun and easy  craft comes a long I would
love to share that!)

Basically, this really would be a community blog!

I am just so excited.

Stop by Baking Mommy… check things out… sign up… and lets start having fun!

I’m not a mommy but I love the community! I think Livejournal is a really great medium for bloggers to use, and contrary to popular belief it’s not just full of melodramatic 13 year old girls (anymore!).
