It is with a heavy heart I write this…

Our first dog Jeager died today.  We have had him for 10 years and he was our first ‘baby’.  The second I heard the words from Chads mouth I burst into tears and haven’t really been able to stop crying since.

Chad buried him in our yard.  It took about an hour to dig the grave.  Colton was outside with us the whole time and was very easy going about the whole thing.  I am not sure he understands it at all.

But he did say, “We have to call Grandpa  Dennis and tell him Jeager’s dead.”  Not sure why.  But we did just that.

So…I know this sounds corny, but go hug your pet ok?  Even if its just for me?

I wish I could just go and give him one more hug and ear rub…

Have a blessed week.

  1. Oh Amanda and family
I’m so sorry for the loss of Jeager. I pray that the healing process is gentle for you and your family.

  2. I am not sure why but as soon as I read about Jeager dying I couldnt help but cry. I understand what your going through right now. We had to put Josie down in May and I have to say I had a harder time with that than I ever imagined. Its never easy to loose a pet. They are part of your family and when you loose part of that its sad. So I send all my love your way. I will say a special prayer for you and your family today.
