I was watching a TV show about faith and about satans deception of us.  It was focusing on Revelations… how the Word says that satan is going to try and deceive us in the last days.  How he may even try to appear ‘Christ like’, and how his followers are going to try and appear like pastors.  But they will be judged according to their works.

It was all really fascinating until the man brought up an interesting point that I had never thought of.

It has been this way always.

Satan has always tried to deceive us, and turn us away from God and from the Truth.

It happened in the garden of Eden… the serpent tried to make Eve doubt God’s words to her… "Did God really say you couldn’t eat from that tree?"

And what about when satan talks to Jesus in the desert?  Just days before the skies had opened and God had declared Jesus His son… and here was satan saying, "Are you really the son of God?"

And it will happen in the end of days.

And it happens in every moment between now and then.

Spiritual warfare is not a myth, nor a delusional accessory for Christians to ponder.  Spiritual warfare is how satan operates.  God tells us to behave one way… satan tries to get us to behave another way.

I have always been fascinated by Spiritual Warfare… maybe even to a fault, as I should focus more on the Word than the manipulation of it.

I just want everyone to believe in Jesus and that He died for our sins.

Hi all-I just wanted to stop by and let everyone know I’m alive.  Barely.  I get extremely ‘motion’ sick sitting in front of my computer, so most days I don’t even turn it on.  Hence, I am not visiting your blogs or emailing folks like I used to.  I am praying-constantly-that this will end soon.

Blessings to you and yours-

P.S. This is an old post from my previous blog… so some may recognize it.  But it was hitting home for me today.

  4. I am sorry your pregnancy has been so rough, especially with two little ones who need your attention as well.
I was so sick in my pregnancy, too. The Holy Spirit would continually minister to me through the lyrics of an old song with a haunting tune…”when the water is too high, I will carry you…”
Your post is so thought-provoking. Every day there is news more heinous than before; every day is filled with spiritual warfare. Yes, it HAS always been this way. It just seems someone keeps trying to reinvent the great deception. There is nothing new under the sun.
    Come quickly, Lord Jesus.
