This past Saturday I had the distinct honor of being able to host a Bridal Shower for my soon to be sister-in-law Elizabeth.
We had some beautiful weather… truly a perfect day… and really enjoyed the food, the wine, and the company.
My MIL sewed adorable pink and brown pillows for every seat outside, including our new bench! It was so comfy and cozy there.
My beautiful Aunt Barb. Doesn't she look like she should be in a magazine??
I went to the thrift store and bought some old paintings… then just painted them with chalkboard paint. Looking for romantic sayings to write on them was so fun… they hung on the trees just beyond the patio.
I made a pistachio cake… Elizabeth's favorite.
The food was amazing…it smelled good and looked good and tasted awesome. Thanks Susan and Patty!
you can never have enough pretty bows right?
Dear hubby helped make the 'step-and-repeat' banner… it just said "elizabeth and ryan" over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again.
I kinda wanted her to feel like a pampered celebrity for the day.
Congrats guys… see you next Saturday! 🙂
I would love to attend a bridal shower – but we don’t do them here, or baby showers 🙁
I would also love to help organize and decorate for one.
Maybe it is because we get enough RAIN showers in Ireland!
Holy moly! You throw one very beautiful party! I am in awe of your creativity in decorating .. it’s just fantastic! I’m certain your SIL-to-be was thrilled with the party and truly felt like a pampered celebrity.
You are amazing. Your heart is beautiful. I’m thrilled to be your friend 🙂
Wowie! You rock sister! You are so creative. I love the chalkboards! Do you have any of that yummy cake you can send me? WOW!
On another note….do you use photoshop? I have some questions to pick your brain on if you do.
Love all the pink!

I’m having a brain freeze, or senior moment or something… is Parker’s birthday today? Or which day, I’m sorry…
I LOVE the chalkboard idea! I will do those in my boys rooms. The decorations were beautiful and the cake looked so delicious. I wish I had even half the creativity you possess.
You come up with the best ideas. What a great party! I have never heard of Pistachio cake (I need to get out more) – it looks absolutely delicious.
Goodness Amanda can I tell you how much I wish I had just 1/4 of the creativity that you have? Looks like a beautiful day and that you helped make it very special!!

Hello,
Impressive !!! how did you do the step and repeat banner? I desperately need one for an event, do you know a website where I could order it?
May God bless you!!!
Hi! You can create the layout you wantm like the size and font, then bring it into most UPS stores or any copy store and they will print one off for you in the dimension you specify! My hubby got this one from his design dept. at work… but if he hadn't have been able to I would have brought in a zip drive with the info to my local UPS store! 🙂
Blessings!
AMAZING!!!!!!!!
such a beautiful shower!!
