I am SO sorry. I did not mean to leave you hanging!
I seriously just sometimes feel like no one listens to the random things I say and then when all of a sudden everyone wants to know what the Merry Go Round incident of 2010 is I am scrambling to recall all the details and then realize that it is not nearly as interesting as I might have implied.
(in the immortal words of Cher from Clueless)
My bad.
While hanging out at the wonderful MOA, we decided to go on the Merry Go Round. Chad stood with Colton, Kurt with Inga, my dad with Parker while they chose and climbed onto the animal of their choice. I was standing off to the side holding Audrey and my mom and Angie were chillin' with me.
Chad and Colton happened to be right in front of us, and Chad says, "Beautiful wife of mine? Would you be a dear and hand me our lovely daughter Audrey? I do believe that she would just adore this ride and I so love to make her happy!"
What? Dont all husbands talk like that? Fine. He actually said, "Why dont you hand me Audrey?"
Okie dokie.
He grabbed her and the ride started and the kids started squealing in delight and slowing going up and down around and around.
Screeeeeeech!
The ride came to a crashing halt. Everyone was bewildered. People were looking around. Was there a problem? Did someone fall off? Did someone puke? Moms were *frantically trying to locate their children.
*yes, I am most likely exaggerating
My sister said, "Wonder what the problem is?"
And I said, "Oh, its probably Chad. I bet he is not supposed to have Audrey."
We looked at each other and laughed. No way! They wouldn't stop the ride over that! It had to be something else.
Well it wasnt. That was exactly why the ride was stopped.
Chad had to do the long walk of shame back to me and hand me Audrey. The carousel worker was NOT amused. Neither were the *47,973 other people watching the ride.
*again, slight exaggeration here
So I pretended I didnt see the disapproving glances form other moms who would never hand over their precious baby to imminent doom and waited the long three minutes until the ride was over.
And now I am *forever scarred and will never be able to ride a Merry Go Round again.
*or until next time we are at the MOA.
The End.
Wait. What? Why couldn’t she be on the ride? Its a Merry Go Round not a Roller Coaster.
lol too funny! At least you got the picture!
