When Godly People…

filed under: Miscellaneous on June 12, 2008

I started a new Bible study today.

Its When Godly People Do Ungodly Things by Beth Moore.

I was kinda excited when I found out this was the book we were going to do.  I thought to myself,

"Finally!  Beth Moore will help me figure out why all these people who say they are Christian keep doing these awful things to me and acting very un-Christian!"

*cough*

More like Miss Beth is going to teach me why I keep doing un-Christian things.

Glad I got that all figured out.

But it looks to be like a good study… its watching a video and then discussion… my favorite setup for Bible study.  Plus this one is very instructional and Biblical.. very from the Bible.  I love that.

Our group is 5 women, including me, and is intimate and comfortable and easy to communicate in.  I think God has me here for a reason! 😉

I have been out and about visiting lots of blogs lately and getting all my feathers in a ruffle.  See, I really enjoy going to Pioneer Woman's site and 5 Minutes for Mom and things…but what I really want is a site that has all the wit and charm and humor of those web pages, but with all the Biblical accountability I crave.  And its really hard to find a popular, mainstream womens site that isn't politically correct.

And I am just not politically correct, thank you Jesus.

I just desperately want to meet other women who think like I do and who want to raise their kids like me and are there for me to talk to and get guidance from!

Maybe if I pray on it more, the Lord will direct me to the right place.  In the mean time, any of you know a great blog or web site or chat room with Christian SAHM's, by all means, please tell me!

OK…off to read a book with G#1.  Or should I say, me try to read as many words as I can on each page before he turns the page then chucks the book across the room.  Should be fun.

God bless-

Amanda

P.S. I see that my baby now has a face!  Woo Hoo!  And within a couple months, I will know the sex…because yes, I am most certainly going to find out. 😉

Great post. Have you been to the Proverbs 31 site? I always feel inspired after I leave it. Janna Rust’s Bread Crumbs site is also great.

I’m sorry I’m missing the Bible study this time around. I was thinking about you ladies yesterday.
All the blogs listed at my blog are written by Christians. They aren’t so much “how-to” blogs but feel free to visit. 🙂

I’m not sure I can live up to all your expectations, but I am NOT politically correct either, I want to raise great kids, and I’m pretty sure we think alike. I hope you’ll continue to stop by my blog.
Sometimes I go for wit and humor and other times I share the things God is teaching me. One way or another, I hope you will always either laugh or find yourself encouraged in the Lord.
