Ingredients

Slush Mixture

  • 4 cups water
  • 1 ½ cups (300 g) granulated sugar
  • 5 cups cranberry juice
  • 3 cups orange juice
  • 2 cans (12 ounces each) frozen lemonade concentrate

To Serve

  • 4 liters cherry lemon-lime soda, like Cherry 7-Up™
  • fresh cranberries, for garnish
  • orange slices, for garnish

Instructions

Slush Mixture

  • In a large pot over high heat, add water and sugar. Cook for about 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, or until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  • Remove from heat. Add cranberry juice, orange juice, and lemonade concentrate. Stir until the lemonade concentrate has melted. You will have about 4 quarts of the mixture.
  • Allow the mixture to cool completely. Once cool, pour into a large freezer-safe container with a tight-fitting lid. (I prefer an ice cream container.) Place in the freezer to freeze overnight.

To Serve

  • Use a fork to break up chunks of the slush mixture. Add about 1 cup of the mixture to a lowball glass.
  • Top with cherry soda. Serve garnished with cranberries and orange slices.
