Skillet Pizza Dip is the best of both worlds when it comes to pizza and garlic bread.

Ingredients

Garlic Butter Bread

  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 package (16 ounces) frozen bread dough dinner rolls, thawed

Dip Mixture

  • 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce

Topping

  • 1/4 cup pizza sauce
  • 1/4 cup pepperoni, diced
  • 1/4 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons minced fresh basil
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

  2. Preheat oven to 400°F.

Garlic Butter Bread

  1. Microwave butter, garlic powder, parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes, until butter is melted.
  2. Cut each dinner roll int half; roll each piece into a ball.
  3. Place dough balls along the outer edge of a 13-in. cast-iron skillet, leaving the center open. Brush the tops of the rolls with the melted butter mixture. Reserve remaining butter.
  4. Cover and let rise until almost doubled, about 30 minutes.
  5. Bake until dough balls are set and beginning to brown, 15-18 minutes.

Dip Mixture

  1. Meanwhile, combine cream cheese, mozzarella, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and pizza sauce. Spoon into the center of skillet.

Topping

  1. Top with the remaining sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni. Brush rolls with some of the remaining butter mixture.

  2. Cover with foil and bake 15 minutes. Remove foil and bake another 10 minutes or until dip is heated through and rolls are golden brown

  3. Top with Basil, parmesan cheese, and crushed red pepper.
