Honey Garlic Salmon

Honey Garlic Salmon is a must have weeknight meal.  Tender and juicy salmon fillets smothered in a sweet and sticky honey garlic sauce, charred to perfection and on your table in under 20 minutes.

Ingredients

  • (about 4 ounces each) salmon fillets, skin on
  • 1/4 salt
  • 1/4 pepper
  • tablespoons  butter
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • teaspoons  soy sauce
  • tablespoons  honey
  • tablespoon  water
  • tablespoon  fresh squeezed lemon juice,  (plus extra to serve)

Instructions

  • Arrange the oven rack to the middle setting and preheat to broil.
  • Season salmon with salt and pepper. Set aside.
  • Heat the butter in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat until melted. Add the garlic and sauté for about a minute, until fragrant.
  • Add the soy sauce, honey, water, and lemon juice and stir combine.
  • Add the salmon filets to the skillet skin side down. Cook for 3-4 minutes, basting regularly with the pan juices. 
  • Transfer the pan to your oven for 5-6 minutes, or until the tops of the salmon are nicely charred.
  • Remove from the oven and drizzle with lemon juice and remaining sauce from the pan.
