Ingredients

  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 6 medium lemons*, juiced
  • 1 cup vodka
  • 3 cups ginger ale
  • mint leaves, for garnish

Instructions

  • Juice the lemons and set aside.
  • In a small saucepan, combine sugar and water and heat over medium until sugar completely dissolves (about 2 minutes).
  • Remove from heat and let cool.
  • Add lemon juice and vodka. Stir to combine.
  • Pour mixture evenly into 4 glasses filled halfway with ice. Top with ginger ale.
  • Garnish with mint leaves.

Notes

If you don't have time (or the desire) to freshly squeeze six lemons, you could use lemon juice.
It's about 3/4 cup of store-bought lemon juice.
If lemons aren't your fruit of choice, try the same amount of lime juice or orange juice!
