Ingredients

Milky Way Filling

  • 2 Milky Way candy bars, 1.84 ounces each
  • 1 bag (11 ounces) caramel bits
  • ½ cup heavy cream

Oatmeal Brownie Mixture

  • 2 cups old fashioned oats
  • 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour
  • ¾ teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 cup (200g) light brown sugar, packed
  • cups (2½ sticks or 283.5g) butter, room temperature
  • 2 cups brownie mix (store-bought, or prepacked)
  • 1 large egg, room temperature
  • cup canola oil

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a 9x13-inch baking dish with parchment paper or spray with nonstick cooking spray. Set aside.

Milky Way Filling

  • In a medium saucepan over medium to medium-low heat, place Milky Way bars, caramels, and heavy cream. Let simmer until fully melted. Remove from heat and let cool for approximately ten minutes.

Oatmeal Brownie Mixture

  • In a large bowl, combine oats, flour, baking soda, salt, brown sugar, and butter. Use a fork or your hands to combine. It's okay if there are some chunks of butter, but no larger than a pea.
  • Add in brownie mix, egg, and oil. Stir until just combined.

Assembly

  • When ready, spread half of the oat mixture into the prepared baking dish. Press firmly to flatten.
  • Pour the melted and cooled Milky Way and caramel mixture over the oat mixture. Make sure to get all the way to the corners.
  • Top with remaining oat mixture. To do this, break apart the remaining mixture in your hands, flatten each piece a bit, and piece together over the caramel mixture. It's okay if a little caramel is showing.
  • Bake 25-30 minutes. Let cool before cutting and serving.
