- 25 fun-size Butterfinger candy bars, divided
- 1 cup (168 g) semisweet chocolate chips
- ½ cup (129 g) creamy peanut butter
- 6 cups (282 g) Rice Chex cereal
- 1 ½ cups (187 g) confectioners' sugar
Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.
Finely chop 10 fun-size Butterfinger candy bars and place in a small bowl. Crush the remaining 15 candy bars and keep them in a separate bowl.
To a medium saucepan over medium heat, add the chocolate chips, peanut butter, and finely chopped candy bars. Heat until the chocolate has melted. (It will still have texture from the centers of the candy bars.)
To a large mixing bowl, add the cereal. Pour the warm chocolate mixture over the cereal and gently fold until every piece is coated.
Fold in about half of the crushed Butterfingers, reserving about 1 cup for topping.
Transfer the coated cereal to a large sealable plastic bag. Add the confectioners’ sugar. Seal the bag and shake until the cereal is completely coated.
Spread the coated cereal onto the prepared baking sheet. Let it fully cool and allow the chocolate coating to firm up, about 15 to 20 minutes.
Sprinkle the reserved crushed Butterfingers over the top before serving.
