- 4 filets (about 4 ounces each) salmon, skin on
- ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
- 2 teaspoons soy sauce
- 4 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1 tablespoon fresh squeezed lemon juice, (plus extra to serve)
Arrange the oven rack to the middle setting and preheat to broil.
Season salmon with salt and pepper. Set aside.
Heat the butter in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat until melted. Add the garlic and sauté for about a minute.
Add the soy sauce, honey, water, and lemon juice and stir combine.
Add the salmon filets to the skillet skin side down. Cook for 3-4 minutes, basting regularly with the pan juices.
Transfer the pan to your oven for 5-6 minutes, or until the tops of the salmon are nicely charred.
