  • 2 c granulated sugar
  • 1 3/4 c all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 c baking cocoa
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 large eggs room temperature
  • 1 c strong brewed coffee
  • 1 c buttermilk
  • 1/2 c canola oil
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract


  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the sugar, flour, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Add the eggs, coffee, buttermilk, oil, and vanilla.
  3. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes with a hand-held mixer (batter will be thin).
  4. Pour into a greased and floured bundt pan. (You can also spray pan with non-stick baking spray or spread
  5. GOOP around pan)
  6. Bake at 350° for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

  7. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan to a wire rack to cool completely.
