Homemade Chocolate Frosty {Wendy’s Copycat}

Wendy’s is a fast-food chain that is known for its hamburgers, fries, and, of course, the Frosty! A frosty is a dairy treat that is similar to a milkshake, but a little thinner in its consistency. I prefer to eat mine with a spoon, but you can sometimes use a straw. It has just a slight chocolate flavor that isn’t too sweet, but so refreshing.

Homemade Chocolate Frosty Ingredients

With just four ingredients and a blender, you can have a milkshake to indulge in.

Ice Cream: Vanilla ice cream is used in this recipe. Yes, this is a chocolate frosty, but the chocolate flavoring comes from the cocoa powder. When Wendy’s introduced the frosty dessert, they wanted just a hint of chocolate so it would not overwhelm the taste of the hamburgers.

Milk: Whole milk will give you the creamiest texture.

Cocoa Powder:ย Unsweetened cocoa powder is the best choice in this recipe. We tested with Dutch-processed cocoa powder, and the frosty had a slight bitterness to the taste we didn’t prefer.
