Crockpot Christmas Candy is a sweet, salty, and minty holiday treat made with peanuts, creamy white chocolate, and crushed candy canes. Melted together in a slow cooker, it’s as easy as it is festive! I like to give it as gifts (if I don’t eat it all myself 😜). If you love the idea of festive crockpot treats, why not try this Crockpot Candy, too? It’s a rich, chocolatey twist with peanut butter chips, German chocolate, and festive sprinkles!

Ingredients & Substitutions

  • Peanuts: I used both salted and unsalted peanuts in this candy recipe. I love the crunch they give each bite! If you don’t have peanuts, try other nuts like cashews, almonds, and pecans.
  • White Chocolate Chips: Look for high-quality white chocolate chips, which list cocoa butter as one of the first ingredients. They melt more smoothly and have a richer, creamier flavor. For a different flavor, you could use dark chocolate or milk chocolate chips in place of white chocolate chips.
  • Almond Bark: Almond bark, also called vanilla-flavored candy coating, is made with vegetable fats instead of cocoa butter, which is why it’s not actually white chocolate. It doesn’t contain almonds either—the name comes from its original use to cover nuts!
  • Candy Canes: Crush some candy canes or peppermint candies for the minty flavor and extra crunch. (I like to add them to a sealable plastic bag and gently pound the plastic bag with a rolling pin or wine bottle.) If you don’t have candy canes, add a few drops of peppermint extract to the mixture. You won’t get the candy crunch, but you can still enjoy the minty flavor in each bite!

Can I Make Christmas Candy Without A Crockpot (Stovetop Method)?

Yes, you can definitely make Christmas candy on the stovetop! Here’s how:

  1. Melt the ingredients: In a large saucepan, melt the white chocolate chips and almond bark over low heat, stirring constantly to avoid burning.
  2. Add the peanuts and candy canes: Once the chocolate is fully melted and smooth, stir in the salted and unsalted peanuts, along with the crushed candy canes.
  3. Mix and cool: Once everything is well combined, drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto parchment-lined baking sheets. Let them cool at room temperature or place them in the refrigerator to set.

This method is quick and still gives you the same delicious candy!

To store crockpot Christmas candy, first, make sure it has set completely. Next, store it in an airtight container at room temperature. It will last up to a week. You could also keep it in the refrigerator for a few weeks, but let it come to room temperature for serving. For longer storage, freeze the candy.
