  1. Hi Amanda, I’ve been a lurker on your site enjoying so many wonderful ideas. I love this cake, it’s beautiful braid look and the simplicity. I tried to imitate this cake and it didn’t really come out to my expectations which only shows me what a true ARTIST you are. So I have two questions regarding this lovely creation: 1) what tip did you use for the shells and 2) what is your typical buttercream recipe, because it looks far smoother and more detailed than mine. Mine is somewhat detailed, but not as clean-looking.

Happy belated birthday, by the way.

  2. Just found this website, after having seen your cakes with surprises in them featured elsewhere for ages! I was wondering if you could tell us how to put a teeny tiny design inside a cake, since I think it’s very clever. I saw you did it with your social media cake too. Any chance for a tutorial?
    Thanks!
    P.S. Happy late Birthday! 🙂
