Hey ya'all! (channeling my inner Paula Dean)

Just a few quick tid bits!

Stellan Bible

If you signed up to be a part of Operation Stellan Bible, I sent out an important email about that this morning.  If you did not receive it, please email me at manda2177@aol.com.

National Help a Pregnant Woman Day is TOMORROW!

You still have time to plan an act of kindness for someone you know.  This might mean the world to them and I bet it will make YOU feel all warm and fuzzy too. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I am so excited to share with you the testimonials of how this little idea has affected people!  If you have anything you want to share, you can email me or leave it in the comments.

I am not doing a Mr. Linky or anything, but I would be happy to post a link to your blog if you blog about it.

(I know some of you have already, but I didnt keep track *boo, hiss* so please just let me know again)

I will be on TCL again this Thursday at 3:00pm to talk about blogging.  We have four blogs scheduled to discuss, and three of them are local.  So be sure to tune in if you are a MN blogger!  Also, the non local blogger is one of my favorites of all time

I cant wait to show you how we are going to feature her!!

There should be a link up same day if you can't tune in.

And I would be remiss if I didn't mention that I am SO so excited for a certain 'season' in Minnesota.  Its is one of my favorite ways to spend some time… and spend my dimes!

Thats right, Garage Sale Season is soon upon us!  Do you have any great Garage Sales tips?  Do you like to visit estate sales and thrift shops?   Do you even have garage sales in your area??

I cant wait to share with you some of my 'trash to treasure' finds!

I like garage sales, but I prefer HAVING them to shopping at them. :)I tend to be a hoarder…

  • Kristin says:

Here we call them Yard Sales, but regardless of what you call them, they are great fun. My favorite is getting kids clothes for a quarter!

  • Amanda Jo says:

I cannot wait to garage sale again!!!! It’s like an addiction and I have a very limited time to get my fix. I wish TCL showed in Texas, I’d watch it for sure. Break a leg tomorrow!

  • carma says:

  • Molly says:

Ah yes, I must admit, I am an avid garage sale girl myself. Go early and go often.
And of course, host one of your own to get rid of all of that stuff you don’t know why you bought it in the first place ๐Ÿ™‚

  • A.J. says:

There are a couple of really good consignment shops in my area. Since I don’t really have a good excuse to buy new clothes (being a daycare provider and having a uniform to wear to work at a restaurant) if I manage to spend less than $20 for a few new outfits I don’t need an excuse!

  • Jenney says:

Oh I love garage sales. But I am trying SO HARD to get rid of stuff that I think I had better not go to them very much this year. However, very often both of my boys get Christmas persents and birthday presents from garage sales. Toys that are barely used-toys we could never afford otherwise!

Thanks for sharing!!! And thanks for the day!

  • Karen@SurvivingMotherhood says:

I seriously think I have shopping ADD. In garages, yards, AND department stores.
I take one look around and if there’s more than two or three things that interest me, I go into shut-down mode. Yeah. I’m pathetic.
Totally need a shopping buddy who knows what she’s, er, I’m looking for.

  • justlori2day says:

I need to get myself out of FB and back into the land of blogs – I have ONLY been ready Jen… I MISSED the Stellan Bible!!! ๐Ÿ™ I SO WOULD HAVE PARTICIPATED!

    Miss you!

  • Sal says:

Best wishes on the TV show!!!! How exciting.
And yes, Garage Sale season is my FAV! My family has been doing an annual garage sale for over 20 years. It’s always the first weekend in May – and we have tons and tons of people come. We have our regulars ๐Ÿ™‚ We usually make over $1500 every time! It’s a blast and a tradition I just love.

I LOVE garage sales! Where I live they have “garage sale Saturdays” twice a year and there are hundreds all over town. I have gotten some really great stuff over the years.

  • Londa says:

I’ve got my cookies (well, actually your Amanda’s amazing cookies) all ready to go for tomorrow! Can’t wait! I even got TWO announcements from new moms out of this deal! Yeah!
I love garage sales but have been way slowed down by some certain twins…Can’t wait to jump back in this spring! I’m totally copy-catting your cupcake stands! ๐Ÿ™‚
Good luck Thursday! Can’t wait to watch the link!

Can’t wait to see you on TCL. I know they won’t bump you twice, that would just be so anti Minnesota nice.

  • Julia says:

oh my gosh, we just found an awesome garbage find the other day. it’s a bench type thing, with a pad and a drawer underneath. i took the old cover off, put new fabric on the pad and it looks great in hannah’s room.
i love garage saling. research that week who and where the sales are. try to hit up block sales to save time.
p.s. i’m thinking of doing something coming up regarding garage sales and blogging. you might (*might*) be interested???? i don’t know. could be a crazy idea too. shoot me an email if you want to hear it.

  • ali says:

Oohh, garage sale season- it’ll be here before we know it! I should start making a list of things I need to watch for this year…
Also, I have some friends who are real garage sale fanatics who I usually share my list with and they turn into my own little army of personal shoppers! (they’ve found an exersaucer, a sit n stand stroller, and a big wheel for us so far!) If you have a network of friends who live near great garage sale neighborhoods, this strategy can work out great!
