If you are a fan of peanut butter and chocolate, this Skrewball Peanut Butter Cup Cocktail is your dream drink in a glass! Itโ€™s made with creamy peanut butter, rich chocolate syrup, Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey, and a splash of coffee liqueurโ€”basically, a peanut butter cup in cocktail form (but boozier!). If you are the type who likes to sip their dessert, this oneโ€™s for you. You should try my Naughty White Russian next. Itโ€™s a fun twist on the classic made with Kahlรบa and a splash of RumChata for a creamy, cinnamon-spiced kick.

What Is Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey, and Does It Taste Like Peanut Butter?

Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey is a flavored whiskey with a smooth whiskey taste and a sweet peanut butter flavor. Itโ€™s not a liqueur but rather a whiskey with a fun peanut butter taste. And yes, it definitely tastes like peanut butter! It’s perfect for whiskey lovers who want to try something new, with the creamy peanut butter flavor blending smoothly with the warmth of the whiskey.

Ingredients & Substitutions

  • Peanut Butter: Creamy peanut butter mixes smoothly with the chocolate syrup and cream. It gives your peanut butter whiskey cocktail a rich, silky textureโ€”just like a peanut butter cup! Crunchy peanut butter can leave little bits in your drink, so for the smoothest peanut butter cup cocktail, creamy is the way to go.
  • Chocolate Syrup: Chocolate syrup adds that classic peanut butter cup flavor and makes the drink rich and sweet. It also blends easily with the other ingredients. If you don’t have any on hand, make your own!
  • Heavy Whipping Cream: Heavy whipping cream (also called heavy cream) makes the cocktail smooth and creamy. You can use half-and-half, whole milk, or a non-dairy milk like almond milk if you prefer a lighter or dairy-free version!
  • Peanut Butter Whiskey: Peanut butter whiskey, like Skrewball, blends traditional whiskey with a rich peanut butter flavor. I used Skrewball for its smooth and creamy texture, but feel free to use your favorite brand of peanut butter whiskey for the same delicious result!
  • Coffee Liqueur: Coffee liqueur is a sweet, coffee-flavored alcohol, like Kahlรบa. It has a rich, bold coffee taste with a bit of sweetness. Coffee liqueur is often used in drinks like a classic White Russian or an espresso martini or in dessert cocktails, adding a nice kick and coffee flavor.
  • Ice: You will need ice for the cocktail shaker and the lowball glass for serving the drink.
  • Peanut Butter Cups: I can never have too much chocolate peanut butter flavor! So, to add more and create a fun presentation, I topped each cocktail with a few mini peanut butter cups.

How To Make A Large Batch Of Peanut Butter Cup Cocktails For A Party

You can easily make a larger batch of the Peanut Butter Cup Cocktail by multiplying the ingredients based on the number of servings you need. Mix everything in a large pitcher or bowl, shake it up, and serve over ice. This way, you can make enough for a group or a party!

Can I Make A Peanut Butter Cup Cocktail Ahead Of Time?

Yes, you can make the Peanut Butter Cup Cocktail ahead of time! To do so, mix all the ingredients (except for the ice and garnish) in a pitcher or container and refrigerate it until you’re ready to serve. When you’re ready, simply pour the mixture over crushed ice, garnish with mini peanut butter cups, and enjoy! This makes it easy to prepare in advance for parties or gatherings.

Peanut Butter Cup Mocktail: A Creamy, Alcohol-Free Dessert Drink

You can easily make a Peanut Butter Cup Mocktail by leaving out the alcohol but keeping the rest of the ingredients. Just replace the Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey with extra peanut butter or peanut butter syrup for more flavor. Swap the coffee liqueur with a little brewed coffee or coffee syrup (if you still want a hint of coffee flavor). Keep the chocolate syrup, heavy cream, and peanut butter for that rich, peanut butter cup taste. It will still be creamy, delicious, and just as satisfying without the alcohol!
