Strawberries and Cream Milk

Iced Strawberries and Cream is iced strawberry milk. Flavored milk is generally sweetened with sugar, flavorings, and sometimes added food coloring. It’s fun to make your own strawberry milk at home anytime you are craving a sweet, refreshing treat.

Strawberries and Cream Milk Recipe

With just a few ingredients and no blender needed, you can make a refreshing glass of strawberry-flavored milk. Grab some ice, strawberries, and milk and you are on your way to a delicious kicked-up beverage!

Preparing the Strawberries

To prepare the strawberries, be sure to wash them thoroughly and gently pat them dry. After you have washed the strawberries, remove the leafy green parts of the berries. This is called ‘hulling’ the strawberries. Instead of simply cutting off the tops straight across, insert a sharp knife at an angle and rotate the strawberry in a circle until the stem pulls out. I sliced the strawberries for this recipe.

How to Make Strawberries and Cream Milk

Once you have the strawberries washed and sliced, mix together the milk, vanilla syrup, and strawberry extract. You can stir it together in a bowl or a pitcher.

To make the drinks, evenly distribute the crushed ice and sliced strawberries into two glasses (filled each up about halfway). Pour the milk mixture into each glass, filling it up to the top. Serve chilled and enjoy!

What is Vanilla Syrup?

Vanilla Syrup is what is added to flavored coffee drinks. If you have ever ordered a Vanilla Latte they added vanilla syrup to it. It is basically a concentrated version of simple syrup with vanilla flavoring or vanilla bean added to it. If you don’t want to make simple syrup you can also use maple syrup as a substitute.

Do You Have to Use Whole Milk?

If you don’t happen to have whole milk you can use skim or 2%. You can also use almond milk. However, you may want to add some heavy cream to thicken.

What does Strawberries and Cream Milk Taste Like?

If you have ever had Strawberry Milk that is exactly what this tastes like… only smoother. It’s a sweet drink that has just enough of a strawberry milk flavor in each sip. The sliced strawberries add more flavor to this smooth and refreshing drink. It’s cool and refreshing on hot summer days!

Can I Make This in a Blender?

Of course! It will have the same sweet, smooth flavor, but will be frothy and pinker. More like a simplified smoothie.
