*Tutorial HERE!
I have been dreaming about this cake for about a month.
Dreaming of layers that went up and down instead of horizontally.
Dreaming of obscene amounts of delicate frosting roses.
Dreaming of a variety of flavors.
And finally, my dream has come true.
Normally I share recipes and techniques and design aspects and every detail I can think of sharing… and maybe I will do that if anyone cares to know. But for now, I just want to enjoy it.
Why?
Because tomorrow (Feb. 1st) is my birthday. And I wanted to make myself a cake! (that’s me getting sassy with myself)
I just want to sit back, relax, and have a piece.
But I do wish I could share it with you.
It’s all well and good that you made it for YOUR birthday, but mine is in 2 days…you need to share, FAST!
Happy Birthday–you deserve to savor that cake! But when you’re done, could you PLEASE share how to make those frosting roses? I’m throwing two baby showers and want to try my hand at a ruffle cake for one of them & this one would be perfect for the vintage French Glam shower! Thanks so much!!
Please do share how yo did this. I would love to try this for my mom for valentines. She would absolutely love this.
Well, Happy Birthday to you and what an amazingly beautiful cake you made for yourself. Just BEAUTIFUL.
Oh please! Let us know the recipe… PLEASE!
Tomorrow it’s my birthday! I really NEED this cake 🙂
Cheers from italy

Darlin’ that is one gorgeous cake – A belated Happy Birthday to You!
I just LOVE this cake. It is so pretty, love the roses and the vertical layers. I would love, love, love to know how you did it and what flavors of cake you used!!!

Oh wow! It reminds me a bit of Neapolitan Ice Cream. So pretty!
