This Strawberry Frosé is cold, fruity, and just what you need (yes, need 😜) on a warm day. Made with frozen strawberries, chilled rosé, and a little sugar, it blends into a smooth, slushy drink that’s perfect for sipping on the patio or sharing with friends. Straining it gives it a silky texture, and adding a strawberry slice on top makes it feel a little extra special. It’s simple and comes together in minutes, just as a summer drink should be, and I have to thank @mad_about_food on TikTok for this refreshing recipe! It is a definite must-add to my list of Summer Drink Recipes!

What Is A Frosé?
Frosé is a frozen rosé wine cocktail made by blending rosé with fruit, ice, and a touch of sugar. It has the texture of a grown-up snow cone, cold, slushy, and packed with fruity flavor. This refreshing rosé slushie is perfect for summer parties, weekend brunch, or any time you want a fun twist on your favorite wine.
Ingredients & Substitutions
- Strawberries: Frozen strawberries help give this frosé its thick, slushy texture without needing too much ice. They chill the drink while adding natural sweetness and bold strawberry flavor. Plus, using frozen fruit means you can make this refreshing summer drink any time of year, no fresh berries required! Cheers to that!
- Rosé Wine: Rosé wine is a light pink wine made by briefly soaking red grape skins in the juice. It’s fresh, fruity, and crisp. For frosé (like this drink), a dry rosé works best because it is less sweet and more refreshing. Try Whispering Angel, La Vieille Ferme, or Underwood Rosé for great options.
- Sugar: Granulated sugar adds a little sweetness to balance the tartness of the strawberries and dry rosé. Just a small amount makes the frosé taste better without being too sweet. You can always add more if you want!

Can I Use Fresh Strawberries For Frosé?
Yes, you can use fresh strawberries, but your frosé won’t be as thick or slushy. If using fresh berries, add extra ice to help get that frozen, snow-cone-like texture. For the best results, freeze the strawberries ahead of time!
Can I Make Frosé Without a Blender?
Yes, but the texture will be different. Without a blender, you can puree the strawberries using a food processor or mash them by hand. (It will be more like a chilled rosé punch than a slushie). Then, stir in chilled rosé and ice. It won’t be as smooth or slushy, but it will still taste refreshing!

Can I Make a Big Batch of Strawberry Frosé for a Party?
Yes! Frosé is easy to scale up for a party. Simply multiply the ingredients based on how many servings you need, then blend in batches and freeze the mixture in a large container. When it’s time to serve, give it a quick stir or re-blend to bring back the slushy texture. You can also pour it into a drink dispenser over ice for easy self-serve frosé. Perfect for summer parties, bridal showers, or backyard BBQs!

What Can I Use Instead of Rosé in a Frosé?
If you want to switch things up, you can use white wine, sparkling rosé, or even a rosé-style seltzer. Just choose something dry and crisp to keep the drink refreshing and not overly sweet.
Can I Make a Non-Alcoholic Frosé?
Yes! For a non-alcoholic version of frosé, blend frozen strawberries with pink lemonade, white grape juice, or a berry juice blend. Add a squeeze of lemon and some ice for that slushy texture. It’s just as refreshing and perfect for kids, baby showers, or anyone skipping the alcohol!

Strawberry Frosé
Ingredients
- 2 cups (298 g) frozen strawberries
- 2 cups (16 ounces) rosé wine, chilled (we used a dry rosé)

- 2-3 cups ice
- strawberries, sliced, for garnish
Instructions
- In a blender, combine the frozen strawberries, rosé wine, and sugar. Blend until smooth.
- Pour the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a clean container, pressing with a spoon or spatula to extract all the liquid. Discard any seeds or pulp.
- Pour the strained mixture back into the blender. Add 2 cups of ice and blend until smooth and slushy. Add more ice if you want a thicker texture.
- Pour into glasses and serve immediately. Garnish with a strawberry slice.

I like that this drink wasn't too sweet. I don't drink rosé, but I liked this.
