Ingredients & Substitutions
- Granulated Sugar: For the rim. You can use superfine sugar for a smoother coating or mix with a tiny pinch of cinnamon for a twist.
- Orange Juice: Freshly squeezed is best for bright flavor, but store-bought 100% juice works in a pinch.
- Pomegranate Juice: Adds tart sweetness and gorgeous color. You can use a pomegranate molasses-water mix if you want a more intense flavor.
- Silver Tequila: Smooth and light. Blanco or reposado works too.
- Triple Sec: Classic orange liqueur. Cointreau or Grand Marnier can be swapped in for a richer orange flavor.
- Lime Juice: Fresh is key. Avoid bottled for the best zing.
- Garnishes (optional): Orange slices and pomegranate seeds make the drink pretty, but aren’t necessary for flavor.

Tips & Variations
- Extra sweet: Add a little simple syrup if your oranges are on the tart side.
- Frozen version: Blend all ingredients with ice for a slushy margarita.
- Mocktail version: Skip the tequila and triple sec; use club soda or sparkling water for a refreshing alcohol-free option.
- Batching: Multiply ingredients for a pitcher if serving a crowd. Shake or stir well and serve over ice.

What to Serve With Your Orange Pomegranate Margarita
- Light appetizers: Tortilla chips & guacamole, shrimp ceviche, or fresh roasted salsa pair beautifully.
- Cheese board: Soft cheeses, nuts, and dried fruit complement the fruity flavors.
- Spicy bites: Anything with a little heat, like buffalo chicken wings or spicy tacos, balances the sweetness.

Margaritas are not my favorite, but I didn't mind the flavor combination in this one! It wasn't too sweet, which I liked.
