And finally, my dream has come true.

Normally I share recipes and techniques and design aspects and every detail I can think of sharing… and maybe I will do that if anyone cares to know. But for now, I just want to enjoy it.

Why?

Because tomorrow (Feb. 1st) is my birthday. And I wanted to make myself a cake! (that’s me getting sassy with myself)

I just want to sit back, relax, and have a piece.

But I do wish I could share it with you.

Share with your friends!

  1. Gorgeous! Seriously the most beautiful cake I have ever seen. And ooooooh does it look yummy. Happy birthday–enjoy every bite of that lovely cake.

  2. Holy cow, Happy Birthday!!!!!!
This cake just blew my mind, Amanda. I’m going to be up all night now trying to figure out how the heck you did it.
    Have a wonderful, special day.

  3. Happy Birthday Amanda, I hope God blesses you on this one. That cake is absolutely enthralling. As soon as I saw the roses I fell in love, but the verticle cake just brought me deeper in. Wow! Please do share about this cake. Have a relaxing day tomorrow (you baked your cake now you have to eat it, too).

  4. oh my gosh that is AWESOME! I love piped roses on cakes…I haven’t tried them ALL over a cake, I usually stick to cupcakes. This would have required some serious piping bag handling not to smudge the others, guessing you worked from the middle top and out?
    Also, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
