Earth Day Picnic

Earth Day, which is April 22, is a great time to be thankful for and bring attention to this beautiful world that we live in.

I love having picnics with my kids.  They seem to delight and fascinate in the smallest of things… calling attention to details that I would normally take for granted.

They have this inner joy and peace in their surroundings… seeing a ladybug crawling up a long blade of grass or a butterfly slowly dancing through flower blossoms.

I love that we get to spend time together outside breathing in clean fresh air and seeing the glorious nature that God created.

I am trying to do everything I can to make sure my children always have a blue sky to gaze into!

This year, The Nature Conservatory is putting together a global effort to help preserve the earth.  They want to give back to this beautiful earth that we call home, and I think that is great!

In addition to their tireless dedication to preserving the earth, they have graciously offered to give away one totally stocked picnic basket valued at $75  to a lucky reader!

This fabulous basket includes:

This year, we are going to have a picnic in the park and then we are going to walk the trails near our home. We always see animals and my three year old just loves to be out in nature. Thanks for the giveaway!

Earth Day also happens to be my adopted twin boys birthday! So we spend Earth Day celebrating the joy that these two guys have brought into our lives the past 7 years! I am so thankful God chose me to be their momma.

  4. Donna says

I celebrated Earth Day inside as it poured all day – so I used some of my basket weaving stash and hand wove a basket for a friend. :)

  5. Jill L says

We were going to spend it outdoors but it was just a yucky day. Wound up watching a movie with our church youth group.

  6. Platinum Rose says

How cool! We made globe pancakes (and showed our son where he lives on the pancake “map”), built window boxes, and put birdseed out for the birds in our new bird feeder.
