I applaud you for willingness to identify yourself as a Christian. I am too, I love God, and I am grateful for all He is… and has done… and is doing. You are so talented! Your writing is wonderful and meaningful, and your recipes are outstanding! I am amending them for my gluten-free husband and son, and they gobble it all up! Thank you for your honesty, God bless you and your family!

  13. lynne says:

hmmmm…would they REALLY be friends if you lost them over these beautiful words of faith??

  14. I know what you mean about the “I may lose friends over this,” especially in today’s world. It seems acceptable to say that we are almost anything – except a Christian. It’s not easy to say the unpopular thing, but it’s wonderful when we do it – isn’t it? I am also a believer and seeing your post warmed my heart. Your sister in Christ, Jodi

    Pretty cool.

Thank you for leaving this post up… just this morning, while in prayer, I thought – if I believed everything about Him, I need to live these truths and stop the madness of worrying so much.

I believe in Jesus as my personal Savior and Redeemer but I am hard-pressed to believe everything in the Bible is “100%” true, sorry, for all the reasons I believe you started the post with “I May Lose Friends…”

Maybe you should just genuinely be honest and state what your actual political beliefs are
so that I can judge for myself what your Bible-based beliefs are.

    • Avatar of Amanda Amanda says:

My belief in Jesus has nothing to do with my political belief, but my political belief has everything to do with my belief in Jesus. I dont think you should come to my blog and request that I “be genuinely honest” because that implies that I am *not* being honest.
And while I can appreciate that you feel you need to judge me for me to have credibility, my worth is not based on your opinion of my faith.
I cant help but question that if you believed that Jesus was your personal Savior and Redeemer, that you would want to uplift and encourage other believers, not call them liars and make them “prove” their faith to you.

And for the record… the reason I started with “I am lose friends for this” is because I KNEW I would. And I did. But that is reflection of their belief system, not mine.

  25. Steffany says:

    Amen Sister!
People need to know that the Bible is 100% true. It is too easy for people to say there are errors since they haven’t done the research to see that there is not!
Thanks for standing up for the Truth and not being afraid to take a stand for our awesome God.

  26. Bev says:

Well, that caught my eye tonight! During the course of my life I have lost
friends for many reasons. Usually it’s due to my foolishness and immaturity.
But to lose friends over how they perceive and interpret the most wonderful and
Holy God of the Universe, well, I just don’t think God is done with the lesson for them
yet. Sometimes God just wants them in an “independent study group” for a while
while he refines the curriculum. I keep the prayer fires burning and anxiously
await the class reunion up ahead! He is FAITHFUL!

I’ve only been here a couple of times, but shall visit more regularly. I admire your passionate convictions.

Amin JESU! That’s how we say Amen Jesus in Nigeria.
There’s no life or lasting answers outside Jesus. The more of the bible i read the more i realise that he is the answer to everything. The BREAD of life. There’s no satisfaction outside him.selah!
