Cake Mix Cookies
Tis the season for cookies! I decided that I need to really amp up my cookie recipe arsenal. As much as I love the fabulous New York Times Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe that takes a good 48 hours to make, I often need something that is faster. (Ok, ok, so I don’t need them faster, but sometimes a girl gets cravings!)
How to Make ANY FLAVOR Cake Mix Cookies
You can take any flavor box cake mix and add:
1/3 cup melted butter
2 eggs
The batter will be thick, and that is ok. (The consistency will vary a little bit from one box mix to another.) I use a mini ice cream scoop and drop the dough about 2-inches apart from other cookies. Bake according to the recipe below and voila! You have an easy cookie that people will enjoy!
So are you ready for an HONEST review?
While I did like these cookies, I could definitely taste that something was distinct. There is a noticeable change in texture and flavor. Quite frankly, there is no substitute for a delicious, from-scratch, homemade chocolate chip cookie and, if you are taking the time to bake one, I say GO FOR IT and grab a great recipe!

Great recipe’s.
My 11 year old grandson and I made these cookies except added 2 heaping Tbs. of Nestles Quik chocolate powder. They were delicious ๐! Will definitely make it again.
I had removed a cup of yellow cake mix from the box for some other project – canโt remember what – but was nervous about baking another cake with it. I ran across this recipe just in time. I added a cup of flour and went for it. So easy and really quite delightful. Thanks!
Help! my chocolate cookies used to look like normal chocolate chip cookies but now they look as if i have add cocoa to the recipe. and they don’t taste the same. Any ideas what happened
Your recipes look so good ๐๐ can’t wait to try them.
I think some ingredient is missing from Bakers Corner chocolate chip cookie mix. Maybe another egg or some water, but the dough would not come together without one of those choices.
