Orange Crush Cocktail is an adult beverage made with vodka, orange Kool-aid powder, and Sprite for a refreshing orange-flavored drink. Try my Paloma for another refreshing summertime cocktail.

Orange Crush Cocktail

I remember loving Orange Crush soda as a kid. The carbonated beverage was one of my favorites growing up. This Orange Crust Cocktail gives you that same great orange, carbonated drink, but in a adults only variety. You will feel like a kid when you make it with Kool-aid powder, but it is an alcoholic beverage for adults.

Orange Crush Cocktail Ingredients

With just four ingredients, this cocktail is as easy to make as Kool-aid!

Ice: I prefer crushed ice, but use whatever ice you have on hand.

Vodka: Choose the brand of vodka you prefer for this drink.

Kool-aid: You will need just 1/2 a teaspoon of unsweetened orange kool-aid powder.

Sprite: The lemon-lime soda gives the beverage the carbonation to remind you of Orange Crush soda. Choose your favorite brand of lemon-line soda.

How to Make Orange Crush Cocktail

How to Make Orange Crush Cocktail

This may look like a kid’s drink, but it is definitely only for adults because of the vodka in the drink. I have the serving size as two drinks, so you may want to cut the amounts in half if making in two separate glasses. Or, just split the drink in half after you make it.

To make the cocktail, first, fill a glass with ice. Next, add the vodka and orange Kool-aid powder. Stir the powder in the vodka until it has completely dissolved. Finally, top with Sprite, or any lemon-lime soda. Serve and sip immediately.

    Sweetened or unsweetened kool-aid?

      It is unsweetened.

  • Judi says:

This looks so good. I think I would use concentrated orange juice instead of the kool-aid. Why have artificial when you can have the real thing.

  • Kathy Ranz says:

I LOVE your recipes but this one did not do it for me at all. I think it was the combination of the lemon-lime soda with the orange. It just didn’t work, and I was so disappointed. But so far I’ve loved all your other recipes.
