When you see this site.  Seriously… the amount of detail…

I saw this listed on Cop Mama's site (shes a Cop so shes knows her stuff)

You need to go to:

RIGHT NOW, enter your name and see if your personal info is listed.
If so, scroll down to the VERY bottom and click on "privacy" to request to remove it.

It is a clearinghouse of info and may include:
A MAP OF YOUR HOUSE
YOUR BIRTHDATE
YOUR CHILDREN'S NAMES
YOUR SPOUSE'S NAME

And other personal information you may not feel comfortable letting the whole world know about you!

Thank you Cop Mama for this info… I went and removed Chad's name. (I was not listed)  I just cant get over the amount of detail on there!  As a blogger…well it was just scary!

  3. Just out of curiosity (since I’ve already identified myself in the “meh” camp) those of you who are freaked out by this – why? Why does it bother you so much? Do you fear identity theft? (Which is worthy of fearing – don’t get me wrong on that.) But what did you see on that website that made you think someone could hurt you with that info? I really am just curious here, if anyone cares to respond.

  4. Strange – I’m live Canada (have never lived in the US) and there are seven of me listed. All from across the US, with profile info that didn’t come close to matching me… but they ALL had my profile pic showing. Weird eh?

  6. Thanks for the heads-up, I deleted my info right away! Half of the info wasen’t correct anyway, such an income & no. of kids, but I don’t want any personal info available out there for any creeps!

  7. Someone on my FB friend’s list posted the site address earlier this week. There was a whole lot of stuff listed there that I would rather not have, even under my maiden name.

  9. WTC?!? This is ridiculous! Thanks for passing along the info. Although, it’s like others were saying…we have to go each one of these sites to block info, right?
    And then I saw where you can go to http://www.reputationdefender.com/ and pay THEM to keep all of your private info off of ALL the sites. It might be worth it to someone who is freaked out at the idea of people being able to search this info on ya….EEKERS!!
