Ingredients & Substitutions

  • Vanilla Ice Cream: If you want the creamiest ice cream out there, you have to try my no-churn vanilla ice cream–no special equipment needed! (Then, try all of my other flavors, too!) It is perfect for these floats or anytime you are craving ice cream!
  • Strawberry Lemonade: Strawberry lemonade (which you can make at home!) is a sweet and tangy drink made with strawberries and lemonade. It adds a fruity flavor to the float, making it extra refreshing and fun! Raspberry lemonade or good old-fashioned lemonade would also work in this dessert drink!
  • Lemon-Lime Soda: The lemon-lime soda gives the drink its fizz, making the float bubbly and fun! If you don’t have lemon-lime soda, try another fizzy drink like club soda, ginger ale, sparkling water, or soda water.
  • Peeps: Bunny marshmallow Peeps are soft, fluffy marshmallows shaped like little bunnies. They are covered in colorful sugar and come in pastel colors, like pink, yellow, and blue (I used pink). These cute treats are sweet and fun to add as a decoration on your Easter treat!
  • Mini Marshmallows: Jet-Puffed Fruity Mini Marshmallows are small, soft marshmallows with a fruity flavor. They come in fun, bright colors like pink, green, and yellow. These mini marshmallows are sweet and chewy, perfect for adding a colorful touch to each float. Jet-puffed bunny marshmallow would be cute, too!
  • Sprinkles: Adding pastel sprinkles makes the float look extra fun and colorful! The bright, soft colors of the sprinkles match the spring theme and make the drink look festive for Easter. Plus, they add a little extra sweetness and crunch!

Can You Use Different Ice Cream Flavors For Easter Bunny Floats?

Yes! You can definitely use different ice cream flavors for your Easter Bunny Floats! While vanilla is a classic choice, you can get creative with other flavors like strawberry ice cream, lemon, cotton candy, or even chocolate ice cream. Or, go all out and use Rocky Road ice cream–a mix of chocolate, marshmallows, and nuts! Just choose a flavor that pairs well with the fruity and fizzy drinks, and you’re all set to make your float even more fun and delicious!

How To Make Easter Bunny Floats For A Large Group Or Party

Ready to celebrate Easter or Spring? You can easily make Easter Bunny Floats for a large group or party! I love preparing a big batch of the strawberry lemonade and lemon-lime soda mixture in a pitcher or punch bowl. Then, I scoop the ice cream into glasses and pour the drink mixture over it. If youโ€™re hosting, set up a DIY float station where guests can scoop their own ice cream and add fizzy drinks and toppings. Itโ€™s a fun and easy way for everyone to customize their own float!

Can You Add Alcohol To Easter Bunny Floats?

Yes, you can add alcohol to make an adult version of the Easter Bunny Float! Try vodka for a smooth option, light rum for a fruity twist, or Limoncello for a citrusy kick. For something bubbly, add a splash of champagne or Prosecco. Start with 1 to 2 ounces of alcohol per serving and adjust to taste. Itโ€™s a fun way to make the float more festive for adults! (I also have a Dirty Root Beer Float perfect for adults.)
