Strawberry Dream Dip is a creamy, dreamy dip that combines cream cheese, whipped topping, strawberry gelatin, and fresh strawberries for a sweet, fruity treat. I love it with graham crackers or pretzels! When you dip in some pretzels, it is like my Strawberry Pretzel Salad, but in a dip form! It would also be delicious with fresh fruit, like apple slices or banana chunks, for an even lighter option. Itโ€™s perfect for parties, gatherings, or just a fun, quick snack when youโ€™re craving something sweet and indulgent! If you are a fan of sweet dips, be sure to add my Booty Dip to your lineupโ€”it is just as irresistible as this Strawberry Dream Dip!

Ingredients & Substitutions

  • Cream Cheese: Ensure the cream cheese is at room temperature before starting this recipe. (For a lighter option, you could use Greek yogurt.) If you forget to take it out, here are a couple of tricks to quickly soften cream cheese.

How To Soften Cream Cheese Quickly

Warm Water Method: Place the wrapped block of cream cheese in a bowl of warm water for about 10-15 minutes. Flip it over every few minutes or so.

Microwave Method: Remove the cream cheese from its packaging and place it on a microwave-safe plate. Microwave it on low power in 15-20-second intervals until it reaches the desired softness. Be careful not to overheat it, as cream cheese can quickly become too runny or even melt.

  • Whipped Topping: Look for an 8-ounce tub of whipped topping. Or, make homemade whipped cream to use! It makes the dip light and fluffy.
  • Strawberry Gelatin: Strawberry gelatin gives the dip a little color and adds a sweet strawberry flavor.
  • Strawberries: Wash, hull, and dice up a pound of fresh strawberries. Add most of them to the dip, reserving about 1/4 cup for the topping.
  • Vanilla Extract: To enhance the flavor, I like to add a little bit of vanilla to the dip. You could leave it out if you don’t have any, or try using almond extract for a different flavor.

Can I Use Frozen Strawberries?

Yes, you can use frozen strawberries instead of fresh berries. If using frozen strawberries, let them thaw slightly before dicing (I think they are easier to cut while still a little frozen). Once diced, let the strawberries thaw completely and drain any excess liquid before adding them to the dip.

Best Dippers For Strawberry Dream Dip

Here are some tasty options that I think go really well with this strawberry dip:

  1. Pretzels (Try it with my Homemade Pretzel Bites!)
  2. Graham Crackers
  3. Vanilla Wafers
  4. Fresh Fruit
  5. Homemade Marshmallows (If that combination sounds amazing–which it is–you will love my Homemade Strawberry Marshmallows, too!)
  6. Cinnamon Sugar Tortilla Chips (Look for homemade cinnamon sugar chips in my Apple Pie Dessert Nachos Recipe.)

Customize Your Strawberry Dip: Add Other Fruits and Flavor Variations

You can easily change up your Strawberry Dream Dip by adding other fruits like blueberries, raspberries, or even peaches for a new twist. You can also try using different flavors of gelatin, like peach or raspberry, to change the taste. Just chop the fruit small and mix it in! Itโ€™s a fun way to make the dip your own.

How To Store Strawberry Dream Dip

To store strawberry dip, first, transfer it to an airtight container. It will last in the refrigerator for up to 2-3 days. If it does separate a bit, simply stir it before serving.
