If you want to keep up with a viral drink trend on TikTok, you will want to try this fun-to-make and deliciously sweet drink called Fluffy Coke! It starts with coating the inside of a glass with marshmallow fluff. Then, after the ice is added to the glass, Coke is poured over the top of the ice, creating a creamy, rich drink. This might give root beer floats a run for their money!

What Is Fluffy Coke?

Fluffy Coke is a nonalcoholic drink for all ages that recently became popular on TikTok. However, many say they have had similar drinks for years, especially at drive-ins or a local drug store soda fountain, so it’s not a “new” trend for everyone. It is along the same lines as the popular ‘dirty soda’ that went viral in 2022, which combines soda with cream, flavored syrup, and sometimes fruit. However, fluffy Coke is made with marshmallow fluff (instead of cream), ice, and cola. If you have a sweet tooth, you might want to give it a try! It could be a new beverage you want to add to your list of Summer Drink Recipes!

Ingredients & Substitutions

  • Marshmallow Fluff: Marshmallow fluff is a sweet and gooey spreadable concoction that tastes like marshmallows, but no marshmallows are needed! Storebought or homemade fluff would work in the drink.
  • Ice: It is up to you if you use the ‘good ice’ (as Memamma used in the TikTok video), or any ice you have on hand. After spreading the marshmallow fluff in the glass, add the ice.
  • Coke: We can’t have a fluffy Coke without the soda! Once it’s poured into the glass, start scraping the sides to get all of that sweetness in each sip! Diet Coke would also work…I mean, there will still be plenty of sugar in the drink๐Ÿ˜œ.

What Does Fluffy Coke Taste Like?

Fluffy Coke is similar to an ice cream float but still different. (Great description, huh?!?) It is sweet, of course, and the marshmallow fluff ends up making the soda a little bit on the creamy side. So, it’s like a sweet, fizzy dessert that tastes like marshmallow-flavored cola! If you are into trying something a little different, I would definitely recommend trying this (and it’s only two ingredients, not counting the ice). It’s a drink for all ages, and just like the viral TikTok showed, it can be fun to do with someone else!

  • Dr. Pepper
  • Cherry Coke

What the Test Kitchen had to say about this recipe:

Autumn

Sometimes viral recipes are a hit for me and sometimes they miss the mark. I'm not a big Coke fan to begin with, so this one didn't do much for me, but everyone else loved it!

Elizabeth

I might be one of the few that hadn't heard of this drink. I am not much of a soda drinker anymore, but this wasn't too bad. But, a little goes a long way when it comes to sweetness!

Selena

Super fun twist on a Coke. If you don't mind the extra sugar, give this a whirl!
