Golden Oreo Dessert is a no-bake pudding dessert with layers of white chocolate and vanilla cookie crust, cream cheese, more cookies, cinnamon vanilla pudding, and whipped topping. The name and idea for this dessert are from a TikTok video by @nicole_thenomad. She didn’t know what to call the dessert when people asked her about it, so all she would say is ‘You’re gonna love it’! So, the name stuck, and it is definitely appropriate since everyone who tried it here loved it! To top it all off, I added some white chocolate curls for garnish. Ingredients & Substitutions

Cookies: This recipe is pretty close to the original, but I added an additional layer of cookies to the mix.

White Chocolate Curls: I added the white chocolate curls to the dessert just for a lovely and tasty touch. You could also use chocolate curls. You can buy the curls or make your own chocolate curls to use.

Whipped Topping: Store-bought whipped topping works in this dessert, but I encourage you to try it with homemade whipped topping!

Pouring Cinnamon Vanilla Pudding Over Golden Oreos to Make Dessert

Cinnamon Pudding

Make the pudding first, since that will have to chill in the refrigerator while you prepare the rest of the recipe. To make the pudding, combine the vanilla pudding mix and cinnamon. Add milk and whisk for 2-3 minutes or until the pudding is thick. Pur it in the refrigerator to chill.

Spreading Cream Cheese Layer over Golden Oreo and White Chocolate Chip Crust

Just look at that cookie crust layer! It could not be easier and is seriously one of the best I have ever made. My secret was to add the white chocolate chips RIGHT to the cookie crust. Let me tell you how I did that!

To make the vanilla cookie crust, add half of the cookies and the white chocolate chips to a food processor and process until you have a fine crumb. You could also use a rolling pin to roll over the cookies that are in sealed plastic baggies to get them into fine crumbs. A hammer also works, but just gentle taps!

In a medium bowl, combine the crushed cookies and melted butter until the mixture is combined. Press the crust in the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking pan. Use your hand or the bottom of a glass to press it down flat. Set it aside as you make the cream cheese layer.

Cream Cheese Layer

To make the cream cheese layer, simply combine the softened cream cheese, half the cool whip (or whipped topping), and the confectioners’ sugar in a medium bowl. Blend until smooth.

Assembling This Dessert

With all the pieces to this yummy dessert ready to go, it’s time to put it all together.

  1. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the cookie crust.
  2. Layer the remaining cookies on top of the cream cheese mixture.
  3. Pour the cinnamon pudding on top of the cookies.
  4. Top with the remaining cool whip.
  5. Garnish with white chocolate curls. Here is how to make your own mini chocolate curls.
  6. Chill until ready to serve.

  1. Where in the recipe do you add the white chocolate chips? They are not mentioned unless Iโ€™m overlooking. This sounds amazing!

    1. They are in the crust… when you add the Oreos to the food processor, add in the white chocolate chips. ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. This looks delicious! For the crust do you use the cookies whole with the cream in them or only the cookie?

    1. Hi, Pat! I work with iambaker and am happy to help with questions. We used instant pudding for this dessert. Have a great day!

  3. I was so excited when I saw this recipe but I knew I had to wait a month to make it for my dad’s birthday because he would love it, too. It was worth the wait. It is so delicious! I ate some pretty soon after making it but it was even better the next day when the oreo cookies had softened into the layers. This is a favorite I’ll definitely make again.

  4. Why does the first picture show a smooth creamy layer being poured over whole cookies when the recipe calls for a crushed cookie layer to start? Confused.

    1. The recipe indicates that half of the cookies are crushed for a layer and the other half are placed whole in a separate layer. ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. Made this today and what a fun treat. The cinnamon in this is a delicious twist. Itโ€™s a bit sweet for me and others in the house loved it. I am curious about the milk quantity to the pudding box size. I used the 2c milk to 5.1 oz instant pudding – it was really thick. Adjusting to 3c milk – as the pudding package indicates got the consistency I expected. Made me wonder if either the milk quantity or pudding box size was off in the recipe or its really supposed to be very thick and not pourable like the photo.

  6. Did not see a response to the pudding/milk quantity question. The box says 3 cups of milk but the recipe calls for 2 cups of milk. Making this in a few days, I’m sure it will be good either way but it would be good to know.

    1. Yes, please follow the directions in the recipe card. Not the box. And please verify it’s correct size package. Happy Baking!
