Do you have that one chore that you simply detest? For me, itโ€™s washing the dishes. I would rather iron every single one of my husbandโ€™s shirts with military precision than do dishes.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 c 281g all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp. 15ml McCormickยฎ vanilla extract
  • 1 stick butter 113g softened
  • 2 tbsp. 30ml vegetable oil
  • 1 1/4 350ml cups milk
  • 1 c 160g rainbow jimmies
  • 1 tsp. 6g salt
  • 3 1/2 tsp. 17g baking powder
  • 1 1/2 c 300g granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs

Instructions

  • Place softened butter into stand mixer and mix on medium for 1-2 minutes.
  • Add milk, oil, vanilla and eggs and mix on low for one minute.
  • Place dry ingredients into stand mixer and combine on low for 30 seconds.
  • Remove from mixer and scrape down sides. Finish stirring by hand if not all combined.
  • Pour batter into prepared pans. Bake at 350.
  • For 9-inch pans its 20-25 minutes. For cupcakes start checking around 15 minutes.
  • Cool before frosting.

  1. Usually I don’t really coordinate parties. I think it is fun to just do whatever you want and everything comes together on its own.

  2. I’m not above using colored paper plates and coordinating paper napkins. I’m with you, I love getting out my fabcy stuff, but sometimes it’s not worth the ectra clean up time when you’ve been working all day. I love your Chinet Cut Crystal idea and I’ll use it soon!

  3. I try to go with a certain theme and color scheme to keep things cute and coordinated!

Thanks for the chance to win!

  4. I make my parties perfectly coordinated by thoroughly planning everything in advance via real schedule. I think it’s the most important forgotten thing! Timed schedule to ensure you involve all wanted concepts, checklist for all acquired items!
Thanks so much for the great giveaway!!

  5. I generally theme my parties as per the liking of the subject or the festival. Like recently I did a car theme party for my boyfriend. I made your redvelvet cake cars and a big center vanilla fluffy cake. Likewise for christmas, my theme was christmas, the food decor and even my clothes, all was red and green ๐Ÿ™‚

  6. I love doing a color theme….ex: cobalt blue glasswear, blue hydrangeas, blueberry crisp, blue corn, blue cheese, etc.
