Do you have that one chore that you simply detest? For me, itโ€™s washing the dishes. I would rather iron every single one of my husbandโ€™s shirts with military precision than do dishes.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 c 281g all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp. 15ml McCormickยฎ vanilla extract
  • 1 stick butter 113g softened
  • 2 tbsp. 30ml vegetable oil
  • 1 1/4 350ml cups milk
  • 1 c 160g rainbow jimmies
  • 1 tsp. 6g salt
  • 3 1/2 tsp. 17g baking powder
  • 1 1/2 c 300g granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs

Instructions

  • Place softened butter into stand mixer and mix on medium for 1-2 minutes.
  • Add milk, oil, vanilla and eggs and mix on low for one minute.
  • Place dry ingredients into stand mixer and combine on low for 30 seconds.
  • Remove from mixer and scrape down sides. Finish stirring by hand if not all combined.
  • Pour batter into prepared pans. Bake at 350.

  1. I’m not a Hostess with the Mostest, so I try to just have really awesome food and drinks to make up for it! But now I’m planning a baby shower with a pink and green safari theme…we’ll see how it goes!

  2. As Party Planners we get inspiration everywhere from fabric to flowers to Pinterest to invitations. We have use the Chinet plates for years for budget conscious events! LOVE them! They use to just be available at party stores but now we can get them in our local grocery stores!

  3. I choose a theme or color palette and work from that. On a side note, love the Chinet cut crystal stuff. I’m planning on using that for my daughter’s 3rd Disney’s Frozen themed birthday party

  4. Honestly, I’m terrible when it comes to coordinating for parties. I’m very frugal, so tend to skimp on the “decorating”part…not including the cake of course ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. I like to pick a couple of colors to work with and then go from there in my party planning. I have used the Chinet products many times for our get togethers…saves my budget and time.
