Dirty Root Beer Float is the adult version of the popular summertime treat, made with RumChata for an alcoholic kick. I love a great warm-weather cocktail and have a list full of Summer Drink Recipes! (Here is a non-alcoholic version for a Root Beer Float.)
Dirty Root Beer Float
This sweet treat will make you feel like a kid again, or at least act like one! It’s a root beer float for adults. It has RumChata added to it, which gives the treat a little more sweetness and adds some creaminess to it. Make the root beer float with no-churn vanilla ice cream and homemade whipped topping.
Ingredients
RumChata Cream Liqueur: This cream-based liqueur is made with rum, cinnamon, and vanilla. And, you can make your own to use! Baileys is another creamy liqueur, but with chocolate flavor and Irish whiskey. However, Baileys does have a vanilla and cinnamon liqueur that you could use in the root beer float. If you love RumChata, be sure to also try my Naughty White Russian.
Ice Cream: I used vanilla ice cream in the float. In fact, a little RumChata poured over a scoop of vanilla ice cream is a treat in itself!
Root Beer: Use your favorite brand of root beer, regular or diet.
What Does RumChata Taste Like?
It is a creamy and sweet alcoholic beverage that has a tiny hint of dark rum. We compare it to the milk left in the bowl after eating the cereal Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Now imagine that complimenting your Root Beer float and you have something magical!
Can I Use a Different Kind of Alcohol?
Sure! If you don’t have RumChata on hand, there are some other options to make this a boozy treat. You could use root beer schnapps, bourbon, spiced rum, or even vodka.

I tried to print the Dirty Root Beer Float and all I got was pictures of all the drinks and no receipt. I don’t want to download another print function on my laptop. Disappointed at the waste of ink and paper trying to get what I wanted.
Did you click the PRINT button right in the recipe card?
