Creamsicle Prosecco

A creamsicle is a frozen treat invention that is vanilla ice cream topped with a layer of frozen fruit juice. Now, the orange creamsicle flavor is included in lots of treats, including this adult beverage. This recipe is a fun twist on a mimosa and adds heavy cream and simple syrup. This gives the drink a bit of sweetness and a creamier texture.

Creamsicle Prosecco Ingredients

Orange Juice: Use freshly squeezed orange juice or orange juice you have on hand. You will need a little for the rim of the glass and then some for the drink. If using freshly squeezed orange juice, one orange should give you about 1/4 cup of juice.

Heavy Cream: Heavy cream (sometimes called heavy whipping cream) is thicker than regular cream and consists of at least 36% fat. You don’t need much in this drink recipe, but you can use the rest to make homemade whipped cream, use it in coffee, or add it to pasta sauce or soup.

Simple Syrup: Simple syrup is often used in cocktails and other drinks to sweeten them up a bit. It is also used on baked goods. Here is how to make simple syrup if you don’t have any around.

Prosecco: Prosecco is a sparkling white wine made from Glera grapes. You could substitute champagne in the drink, but champagne is made from different grapes. It is also delicious in this Lemon Vodka Prosecco. If you would like a family-friendly (non-alcoholic) version of the drink, simply replace the Prosecco. There are many varieties of non-alcoholic sparkling white wines to choose from.
