If you’ve ever craved Chick-fil-A’s Frosted Lemonade on a hot summer day, this copycat recipe delivers that exact creamy, tangy, sweet-tart perfection at home. It’s one of my go-to warm-weather treats because it’s genuinely easy, uses real ingredients, and tastes even better than the drive-thru version.
I’ve tested this dozens of times with my family (my kids fight over the leftovers), adjusting the lemon-to-sweetness ratio until it hits that perfect balance. The result is a thick, frosty, lemonade-milkshake hybrid that’s far superior to any store-bought or overly artificial version.
If you love all things lemonade, don’t miss my Homemade Lemonade! I also have Frosted Strawberry Lemonade made with strawberry ice cream!

Why this recipe stands out
- Only 2 ingredients
- No homemade lemonade or extra sugar needed
- Ready in under 10 minutes
- Tastes just like the real thing (my family agrees)

Tips for Success (Tested Notes from My Kitchen)
For a thicker texture: Use slightly less lemonade concentrate or add a handful of ice.
Too sweet? Use a tart lemonade concentrate or add a splash of fresh lemon juice.
Make-ahead: Blend and freeze in individual portions. Thaw slightly and re-blend before serving.
Common mistake: Over-blending makes it too thin – stop as soon as it’s smooth.

Variations
From-Scratch Version: Use my Homemade Lemonade + No-Churn Vanilla Ice Cream (sweeter result).
Frosted Strawberry Lemonade: Add fresh or frozen strawberries.
Adult Version: Add 1-2 shots vodka or lemon vodka per serving.

What Type of Lemonade Works Best?
I opted for the Old Orchard Lemonade for a couple of reasons. We like the flavor and you can microwave the frozen lemonade, which means you can enjoy this drink when you get the craving for it and don’t have to wait an hour for it to defrost.
I put it in the microwave for 30 seconds to get it warm enough to remove from the container and then added that to the blender. When I was buying the lemonade concentrate, I noticed they have a large variety of flavors like Strawberry Lemonade and Pink Lemonade. I have a feeling that all of the variations will taste amazing in this easy drink!

Storage
Best enjoyed fresh. Leftovers can be frozen up to 1 week. Let soften and re-blend for best texture.

So this is actually a lemonade milkshake? Sounds delicious! Not sure we can get the ingredients here, as we’re currently living away from Canada, our home country; but I’ll sure remember it next summer once we’re home! Hope you publish it again then to jog my memory too, thanks!
When I had my wisdom teeth out my mom fixed me an orange juice and vanilla shake,I’m pretty sure she used orange juice concentrate. I just remember how good it was while I was in pain and drowsy. Your frosty lemonade totally brought me back. Thanks Amanda.
Tastes great!
Dairy Free??
If there is a dairy-free ice cream then it should work.
